Mom's Canning Brine
2 cips white vinegar ⅔ cup sugar ½ tsp celery seed ½ tsp mustard seed
Combine all ingredients and bring to a rolling boil. Pour brine over peppers in the jars. Wipe the tops of the jars before sealing them. Hot seal immediately.
This brine has a tendency to make the peppers a bit sweeter (due to the sugar). But if you include the seeds it will give it a hotter flavor.
